Use the Web Standards Checker (WSC) to properly display this website.--- abstract: 'The temperature dependence of the reflectance of the Ni$_{3}$Al$_{2}$ and Ni$_{3}$Ga$_{2}$ (nickel aluminide and nickel gallide) single crystals were measured by a home-made far-infrared ellipsometer at frequencies from 30 GHz to 1000 GHz. The temperature dependence of the frequency of the plasma resonance peak shows distinct behavior between nickel aluminide and nickel gallide. Ni$_{3}$Al$_{2}$ single crystal exhibits semiconducting behavior at room temperature with an activation energy of 0.12 eV. In contrast, Ni$_{3}$Ga$_{2}$ single crystal has metallic behavior at room temperature. The frequency of plasma oscillation increases with decreasing temperature at the beginning and then decreases. The decrease in frequency with decreasing temperature can be attributed to an increase in the carrier mean free path with decreasing temperature. From the temperature dependence of the plasma frequency we obtain a Debye temperature of be359ba680
